The Intact Life Energy Training course | Midi Pyrénées

Experience a freestyle movement training course in Ariège to reactivate your vital energy, physical creativity, and body awareness. Two days to explore the fundamentals of natural and instinctive movement in a supportive, vibrant, and restorative setting. This workshop is an invitation to awaken the dancer, the living, and the creative within you.
Principles
This workshop offers an immersion in the Fundamentals of Freestyle Movement, an approach developed by Anne Ena Bernard, based on the legacy of Yvonne Berge and Isadora Duncan. This work invites us to revisit the instinctive coordinations that support our bodily, emotional, and cognitive development since childhood. The goal: to reactivate the body’s intelligence to unleash the vital impulse, regain stability, grounding, and freedom of expression through movement.
Why awaken the “dancer” within us?
A child develops through movement. In natural conditions, they build their connection to the world and to themselves by crawling, swimming, climbing, jumping… Their thinking literally takes shape through these physical experiences. This movement-based development continues throughout adulthood. However, in our modern, civilized societies, children are increasingly restricted in their freedom of movement from a very young age. This lack of physical freedom often goes hand in hand with emotional difficulties, attention problems, and learning challenges. This training aims to create a space where we can relearn these basic movement patterns in a joyful and playful way. It offers stimulating and liberating tools for adults, essential for children, and invaluable for educators. We will explore the role of each tool in both our personal development and that of the child, and how they support our lifelong learning journey. This work is part of a global movement of educational renewal, where listening to and understanding the body are recognized as essential foundations for grounding, inner stability, and discernment — all necessary to find one’s path in today’s complex world.
Who is this for?
This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in body language and how to reestablish the roots of free expression and movement: adults, adolescents, dancers, artists, child educators, yoga teachers, dance instructors, psychologists, psychomotor therapists, etc. These tools can form a foundation for any practice involving the body in movement.
How does it work?
We combine the foundational tools of Free Movement with those of Movement Medicine. This layered approach provides a deeper embodied experience and offers supportive practices that help us access our inner resources and deepen our understanding of the moving body. You can join this program either as a personal journey or as part of a professional path. Certification is granted after completing 12 days of training with Anne Ena Bernard. To ensure continuity and deeper integration, this is a closed group format, with full commitment required for the entire series of training days. If you are new to the “Fundamentals of Free Movement,” you may join the first session in February and decide to commit afterwards.
A Creative Approach
The training also includes a tool inspired by the Creative Journal method, combining writing, drawing, and collage. This allows participants to regularly pause, reflect, and integrate what has been experienced through movement, anchoring their journey, deepening insights, and tracking their personal evolution throughout the course.

Who is hosting?

Anne Ena Bernard
Senior teacher of Movement Medicine
Anne Ena received much of this knowledge directly from Yvonne Berge, director of the Isadora Duncan School in Paris. Yvonne was one of the most influential educators of Free Movement that Anne ever met during her long exploration of dance as a tool for expression and personal development. These tools, though simple, are powerful. They bring back the natural developmental stages of coordination and instinctive movement in humans, and show how to reawaken them in our own bodies and how to support them in children and adults alike. Yvonne Berge transmitted these tools widely to schoolteachers and educators, as Anne Ena continues to do. Yvonne also authored two foundational books on the subject: “Vivre son corps” (Seuil) and “Danse la Vie” (Souffle d’Or).With over 30 years of experience teaching Free Movement to both adults and children, including in school settings, Anne Ena brings a rich and multi-disciplinary perspective to this work. Her teaching is informed by her background as a yoga teacher, psycho-corporal therapist, certified Movement Medicine facilitator, and her deep knowledge of body symbolism and the language of the body as taught through the “9 Breaths” approach, which she co-founded with Nicolas Bernard.
