Dancing is a way to change the world
I'm Laura, a freestyle dance teacher in Toulouse and Ariège, France, and the creator of Laoproject. This project was born from my deep need to move, explore, and share.
A lover of the movement of life, the body, and emotions, my work expands with encounters and time. Immersed in classical and contemporary dance during my childhood, I discovered free dance in England with the dance of the 5 rhythms in 2018. Being a nomad traveling the world at the time, I continued my exploration in different countries and dance venues, until I began teaching classes in 2021 in Ariège. What's next? Other trips and inspiring encounters have inspired me to become an Ecstatic Dance DJ in 2023, as well as a CBC (Contact Beyond Contact) and Movement Medicine teacher in the same years.

Her key word? DIVERSITY
Whether in my musical choices or in my dance offerings, I love variety. My experience as a dancer has led me to develop different approaches to bodywork to touch multiple aspects of myself depending on the practice.
For me, Ecstatic Dance is an accessible gateway for everyone to reconnect with dance, without substances. Next comes Movement Medicine, which allows you to reach deeper into sensitive and vulnerable areas. And finally, Contact Beyond Contact, which is a magical tool for connecting with others in a gentle and safe way.
As a freestyle dance teacher in Toulouse, I weave connections between movement, emotion, and guidance in my workshops, retreats, and evenings.
Laoproject is… stars, butterflies and earth, sparks, fire and tornado, tsunami, seaweed and feathers. It’s all this in a body that dances and teaches! Guiding, listening, embracing. Blooms and makes bloom. It’s a lot of empathy, gentleness and patience in a sincere gaze and kind, uplifting words. Together, we cross childhood joys and chaotic forests, opening up to the body, our own and that of the other, that of the group.
A dance retreat around the Elements, stirring and soothing, so enriching and transforming, provided we’re ready to take off the armor.
An immeeeeeense thank you! ❤

In Lao’s CBC session I was welcomed into a safe, ethical, authentic and welcoming space. She guides with care, awareness and heart, listening to the needs of the group, to invite a contact that is above all very human; she guides us step by step towards a moving awareness of our own mechanisms, needs and social dynamics.
Each session invites reflection and inner listening, on different themes. We create contact and encounter ourselves and others in a neutral, human and healthy space, where we converse through dance, moving from the I to the We.
